Harry C. Niewald, Jr.
Harry C. Niewald, Jr., 63 of St. Francis, Ark., passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014, at the White River Medical Center in Searcy, Ark.
He was born on March 19, 1951 in Piggott, Ark. He was the son of Harry Sr. and Audie Niewald.
His mother, Audie Niewald, preceded him in death.
Harry was a 1969 graduate of Piggott High School, and graduated in 1973 from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelors of Engineering Degree. He was an active member of the Clay County Democratic Central Committee and was a longtime member and Deacon of First Baptist Church of Piggott, Ark.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Niewald of the home; his father, Harry C. Niewald, Sr. and wife Annie of St. Francis, Ark.; two daughters, Julie Stump and husband Michael of Paragould, Ark. and Teri Acree and husband Brett of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; and one son, Harry C. Niewald, III, and wife Dannielle of Honolulu, Hawaii; nine grandchildren: Jacob Andrew Niewald Stump, Michael Stump, Jr. (MJ), Makayla Anne Stump, Gavin Malone Acree, Emberleigh Paige Clenney, Kayleen Elise Clenny, Lily Virginia Acree, Harry C. Niewald, IV (Quade), Adelaide Mae Niewald and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Piggott, Ark., to be officiated by Ken Gore. Burial will be in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis, Ark. Pallbearers are, Keith Woolverton, John Selig, David Stenson, Jeff Brewer, Larry Winberry and Ed Winberry with the Deacons of the First Baptist Church serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held beginning at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, at the Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home, of Piggott, is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on his behalf to the Arkansas Baptist Children's Home, St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
