Rodeo action returns to the Clay County Fairgrounds arena this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 19 and 20, as the Clay County Rodeo has scheduled two big nights of action. The event will feature the Universal Rodeo Company, along with performances by Amanda Payne Sellers, and the One Arm Bandit and Company from Shidler, Okla.

On Friday evening there will be a tailgate barbecue and its military appreciation night for veterans of the Korean War. Dillan Cate will also be singing for those in attendance for Friday night's action.

Saturday, Sept. 20, is "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" night and a balloon release will be held in the arena in support of all who have been affected by breast cancer. Local pre-school and kindergarten students may also gain entry to the rodeo by coloring a page, which will serve as their ticket.

Organizers also note a boy's and girl's bicycle will be given away each of the two nights, and serving as the PA announcer will be local minister Kevin Murray.

"We'd also like to take the time to thank all of the sponsors who have helped make this rodeo possible," noted organizer Darrin Moore. "We sure appreciate the support."

The rodeo will be held in the Clay County Fairgrounds arena, located on East North Street in Piggott.
