Piggott's Hayden Lemmons (2) is congratulated after scoring the junior Mohawk's first touchdown in Thursday night's 30-0 rout of the Bobkittens at Corning.

Both the Cougar and Mohawk varsity teams are idle this week, and will return to action next Friday, Sept. 26. The Tribe will be on the road at Osceola as they begin conference play, while the Rector squad will be on the road at Walnut Ridge to take on the Bobcats in conference action.

Thursday night the Piggott Junior Mohawks visited their cross county rivals at Corning, and drubbed the Bobkittens 30-0. They will also be in action against Osceola in the coming week, as they'll visit the Seminole on Thursday, Sept. 25.

Meanwhile, the Junior Cougars hosted the tough Salem Greyhounds at Temerian Field, but fell to their visitors by a final of 34-6. The RHS junior team will be back on the road this coming Thursday, Sept. 25, as they're slated to visit the Warriors of EPC at Lepanto.

The Lady Mohawk volleyball teams were also active on Thursday evening, as they swept Cedar Ridge in junior and senior high action. The PHS tennis teams have also been in action, along with the Mohawk golf squad.
