PES Hosting Annual Fall Festival

Thursday, September 25, 2014
Games, food and fun are always the order of the day as Piggott Elementary School holds its annual fall festival, as is depicted in this photo from the 2013 event.

With the official start of fall on Monday evening comes the news of a returning favorite, as the annual Piggott Elementary School Fall Festival is at hand. The popular event, held on the playground of PES, will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. this Friday, Sept. 26.

Organizers note the 2014 fall festival will include all the returning favorites, and report a new addition this year will be a dunking booth. Luckily, the weather forecast is favorable for the day, good news for those manning the booth.

Along with the usual games, food and fun the annual silent auction will be held in conjunction with the fall festival. And, according to organizers this year the third grade quilt will be among the silent auction items. "Usually we sell chances on the third grade quilt, but this year it will be in the silent auction so we encourage everyone to stop by and bid," noted Parent Center Coordinator Mona Scott.

Tickets may be purchased in advance from 7:30 to 8 a.m. on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 25 and 26, in the parent center of PES. Advance tickets are 20 for $5. Tickets will also be on sale at the festival on Friday afternoon.
