Donald Lee Priest
Donald Lee Priest, 86, of Marmaduke, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014, at his home in Marmaduke with his wife and son at his side.
He was born September 28, 1928, in Rector to the late Lexi and Velma Priest. He was retired from Emerson Electric and a member of Lafe Baptist Church.
Donald enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved blue grass music and all little children.
He is survived by his wife of 66 and one-half years, Alla Jean (Lewallen) Priest; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Ida Priest of Marmaduke; two grandchildren and spouses, Jeff and Meagan Priest of Lake City and Shelly and Josh Risinger of Paragould. He is also survived by three great grandchildren, Scout Priest, Makenzie and Bryson Hampton; two step great-grandchildren, Will and Ross Risinger; and one brother, Mitchell Priest of Lowell, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Thomas Priest; and a sister, Evaline Priest.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 22 at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Ron Pickney, and grandson, Jeff Priest officiating. Burial will follow in Harvey's Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers are David Vanhorn, Keith Graves, Mike Graves, Shannon Discus, Dexter Priest and Josh Lewallen.
Honorary pallbearers are Mark Priest, Ronnie Banning and Dewey White.
