Tuesday Morning Crash Claims Life of Rector Teen

A pre-dawn car crash Tuesday, Oct. 28, claimed the life of a Rector teenager and injured another. The accident occurred a half mile west of Kennett on Highway 84.

According to a report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, Ryker Graves, 18, was killed when the vehicle he was driving ran off the road and into a water-filled ditch. Graves was pronounced dead at the scene by Dunklin County Coroner James Powell. Injured was 17-year-old Katlin Spicer, also of Rector. She was taken to Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.

Officials report the accident occurred at 5:30 a.m. but was not discovered until about 8 a.m.
