Sherry Magouirk, 60, of Corning, Ark., passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014, at the NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark.
She was born September 20, 1954, in Piggott, Ark., and was the daughter of the late Harold Leon and Loretta (Battle) O'Guin.
She was united in marriage to Terry Magouirk on Jan. 17, 1981, and to that union two children were born.
Sherry was saved at a young age and attended True Light Missionary Baptist Church in McDougal, Ark., for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Magouirk of Corning, Ark.; one daughter, Ashley Kanaday of Corning; one son, Terry Lee Magourik and wife Britney of Paragould; three grandchildren: Teryn Kanaday, Andrew Kanaday and Ally Magouirk; a brother, Harold Wayne O'Guin of McDougal and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Kenny Burns officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Ark. Pallbearers were Hal "Buddy" Fielder, Steve McCallister, Kevin Evans, Alva Shirley, Adam Buchanon and Shane Lerma. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, was in charge of the arrangements. Visitation was held beginning at noon Monday, and continuing until the time of the service at the funeral home.
