The Christmas decorations which adorn the Inn at Piggott provide the perfect backdrop for the upcoming Clay County Arts Council event, set for Saturday

The next fabulous party to be held by the Clay County Arts Council, Inc. is the "Holiday Inn" Christmas Party at The Inn at Piggott from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6. The council invites everyone to enjoy the delicious desserts provided by the following merchants: Country Mart, Subway, Piggott Florist, Three Little Pigs, Donna's Country Kitchen, Madpie's Tea Room, P & B Cakes, Wal-Mart, Traveling Wisk and Sweet Creations.

As a ticket holder, each person will enjoy the sights and sounds of the Inn décor and the holiday themed music by Jerry Chilcutt on the baby grand piano, or watch the classic "Holiday Inn" Christmas movie in the movie room. A designated area will be set aside for the silent auction featuring special items pulled from the "Feather Your Nest" collection of Radko Christmas ornaments and other select items, all for the scholarship fundraiser. Also to be raffled at the end of the evening, with tickets on sale now, is the "American Guitar" Electa given by Fresh Tech, a beautiful painted American flag design adult size guitar with quality sound. A $200 retail value, this guitar will be raffled off at the end of the evening. Tickets may be purchased at $5 for one or three for $10, with all funds going to the CCAC scholarship fund.

Tickets for the evening are just $10 each, and may be purchased in advance at Madpie's or Treasure Chest (870-598-2385) in Piggott, Honeysuckle & Home (870-595-2135) in Rector and Shabby Chic (870-631-1852) or Electric Beach in Corning. Those wanting more information on the "Holiday Inn" Christmas Party in Piggott on Dec. 6, may call (870) 240-3014 for details.
