CCAC Holiday Fundraiser Set

Area residents are invited to enjoy a the sights and tastes of the holiday season, as the Clay County Arts Council is set to host a "Holiday Inn" Christmas Party. The special Yule fundraiser for the organization will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, hosted by the Inn at Piggott.

The council invites everyone to attend the special event, and enjoy the delicious desserts provided by a variety of area merchants. The tasty treats will be provided by Country Mart, Subway, Piggott Florist, Three Little Pigs, Donna's Country Kitchen, Madpie's Tea Room, P & B Cakes, Wal-Mart, Traveling Wisk and Sweet Creations.

As a ticket holder, all those in attendance will have the opportunity to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Inn décor and the holiday themed music by Jerry Chilcutt on the baby grand piano. There will also be screenings of popular Christmas movies, such as "Holiday Inn" in the movie room.

One room at the inn will also be set aside for the silent auction featuring special items pulled from the "Feather Your Nest" collection of Radko Christmas ornaments and other select items. And, organizers note all funds raised will benefit the CCAC's scholarship program.

A raffle will also be held at the conclusion of the event for an "American Guitar" by Electra, given by Fresh Tech. The guitar features a painted American flag design, and quality sound. Tickets for the guitar, a $200 value, are $5 each, or three for $10, and all proceeds also benefit the scholarship fund.

Tickets for the evening are just $10 each, and may be purchased in advance at Madpie's or Treasure Chest in Piggott, Honeysuckle and Home in Rector and Shabby Chic or Electric Beach in Corning.
