Elbert H. "Red" Osgood
Elbert H. "Red" Osgood took his last ride cross the bridge and laid down for eternal rest on February 7, 2015, with his family at his side.
Red was born December 16, 1951, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., and was the son of Cassius F. Osgood and Lorene A. (Reagan) Osgood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amber Skye Osgood.
He was employed at M&A Electric in Poplar Bluff, Mo. for 43 years currently working as Line Supervisor.
Red was well-known and respected throughout Southeast Missouri and surrounding areas and electric companies around the world. We have parted for now with a great man, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend but will join him in our Heavenly Home some day. He is loved by many.
He leaves to get ready to welcome home his wife, Donna Osgood of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; five children, Lashelle Renae (Tom) Fuller of Kennett, Mo., Starla (Paul) Baker of Richland, Mo., Jason (Stephanie) Osgood of Success, Ark., Jeremy (Jamie) Osgood of Broseley, Mo. and Megan Collins of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; 16 grandchildren, Jerika, Seth, and Hannah Baker, Hallie, Jake, Kiley, Jayson, and Jayce Osgood, Lyla, Levi, and Luke Arnold, Mia and Bryer Osgood, Brandon, Brennon, and Bailey Collins, and Makalia Wilcox; sisters Mary Wade Pollaccia of Piggott, Ark., Barbara (Scott) Hixson of Pocahontas, Ark., Sue (Bud) Wallace of Mountain Home, Ark., Sandra Whitehorn of Perryville, Mo.; one brother, Charles Reagan of Searcy, Ark. and a host of friends and relatives.
Graveside services were held, Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, in the Mars Hill Cemetery near Crockett, Ark., with Bro. Kent Harding officiating. Honorary pallbearers were the employees of M&A Electric Cooperative. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Ark., was in charge of the arrangements. Visitation was held Monday prior to services at Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Ark.
