Fredonia Parrish, 95, of Paragould, formerly of Knob, died Sunday, February 8, 2015, at Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould.
She was born October 20, 1919, to the late Andrew and Rilla Mobbs and was married April 18, 1936, to Alonzo Parrish.
Fredonia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 70 years and sisters Flossie, Lillian and Elvie.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce McDaniel of Paragould; one sister Rita Faye Hanks; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was a homemaker and loved gardening and quilting. She was a life-long member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church of Knob and a life-long member of the community.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, at Irby Funeral Home in Rector with Bro. Eldon Parrish officiating. Visitation was held beginning at 1 p.m., and continued until time for the service, at the Irby Funeral Home in Rector. Interment followed in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
