The Piggott Junior Lady Mohawks ended their season in the first round of the district tournament at Osceola this week, dropping a 36-17 decision to Manila. Last week the junior girls notched their first win of the year, as they got by Osceola by a final of 34-33. Saturday the two teams squared-off yet again in a makeup game, with the Tribe falling 26-25 despite a 10 point performance by Brielle Burkman.

Hannah Powell paced the Mohawk offense in the win last Thursday, as she finished with 11 points. The junior girls also got 9 from Reagan Ralph, 8 from Emilee Seegraves, 4 from Emily Massey and 2 from Taylor Seal in the win.

On Saturday the two teams met once again, with the Lady Seminole coming out on top of the 26-25 decision. Along with Burkman's 10, Powell added another 6 and Seal finished with 4.

But, the Lady Lions were too much for the Tribe in their first round district tournament game at Osceola Monday night, as they fell to Manila to end their season.
