The 13th annual Rector FFA Dinner and Auction held Friday at the community center was a great success, despite very unfortunate weather conditions.

"We served around 120 people and I think everyone was glad to be able to get out of the house," said chapter sponsor Hannah Gray. "The sale was down a little, but we are still happy with the total of making around $9,000."

The sale also generated $1,082 for the continuing Kaylee Bell Scholarship fund, which assists FFA seniors who are pursuing a college career.

"The Rector FFA would like to thank all of those involved in our auction," Gray said. "We had another successful year that will allow our students the opportunity to continue to participate in extracurricular activities that will help prepare future leaders in our community."
