Charles L. Evans was born June 16, 1935 in Paragould, Ark., and died March 14, 2015 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. He was 79 years old. He was a retired farmer and a member of Alexander Baptist Church. He was a past board member of Farm Services Association, a cattle farmer and a life time member of Farm Bureau. He was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and an avid Rook and Checkers player. He especially loved bragging on his family.

He is survived by his wife, Loutrichia Evans of Paragould; one son, Charles Keith and his wife Kathy Evans of Paragould; two daughters, Patricia and her husband Fred Newman of Dyersburg, Tenn. and Melanie Evans of Jonesboro. He has one brother, Arnold Evans of Attica, Mich.; five grandchildren, Bradley Newman, Lindsey Mitchell, Lankster Evans, Kyle Evans and Kayci Evans along with three great grandchildren, Aubrey Newman, Clayton Newman and Khyler Evans.

Funeral Services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Paragould and burial was in Linwood Cemetery. Visitation was held Monday evening at the funeral home.

Pallbearers included, Ronnie Hill, Steven Hill, Mike Davault, Brad Davault, David Davault and Tim Blackburn.
