The Piggott Lady Mohawks opened the home portion of their season Monday afternoon at Independence Park, dropping an 11-7 non-conference decision to the Lady Tigers of Armorel. The Tribe came out flat on the day, and gave up several runs early. By the fourth inning they trailed 9-2 as the Lady Tiger's bats were hot. Armorel would tack-on two more runs, but the Tribe would respond late with five more runs of their own. But, a seventh inning rally sputtered, and the Mohawks took the loss.

Devyn Staples got the start and took the loss, with Hannah Powell coming on in relief. Leading the Tribe at the plate was Grayson Murray, as she went 2 for 4 and drive in 3 RBI, while Tara Vaughn was also 2 for 4 with one RBI.

The Lady Mohawks hosted the Lady Camels of Campbell Tuesday afternoon at Independence Park in a non-conference set, although the game was interrupted by a thundershower with the Tribe leading in the second inning. Weather permitting, they're slated to visit the Corning Lady Bobcats Thursday afternoon. The squad will be back in action on Thursday, April 9, with a conference game at Rivercrest and on Monday, April 13, they're scheduled to visit the Hoxie Lady Mustangs for a 3A-3 conference double-header.
