Ryan Rogers Memorial Scholarship Established

Thursday, April 30, 2015

A scholarship award to the outstanding senior student-athlete at Rector High School is being established in memory of Ryan Rogers.

The award will be based on athletic performance, academic achievement and outstanding citizenship within the school and community.

The scholarship will be awarded each year at the RHS graduation.

Rogers, who died earlier this year, was a reporter and sports editor for the Clay County Times-Democrat. He was very supportive of the RHS athletic program and was a friend to all the students in the school. The scholarship, in addition to helping deserving RHS students, is designed to continue to remember Rogers' contribution to the school and community.

Donations for the scholarship are appreciated and may be made to the Ryan Rogers Memorial Scholarship Fund at Centennial Bank in Rector.

Persons also may contact Ron Kemp to donate or for more information. His phone number is 870-239-1599, email address ronkemp@centurytel.net
