Betty Lou Ellis, 84, of Paragould, formerly of Wynne, departed this life, Monday, May 4, 2015. She was born, October 9, 1930, in Rector, the only daughter of Floyd Orlim and Nillie (McLeskey) Lawrence.
She was a member of Wynne First Assembly of God Church and the VFW Women's Auxiliary. She retired in 1995 from Yale Hoist. She was very active in the VFW and enjoyed cooking, jigsaw puzzles, playing bingo and dominoes and spending time with her family and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Raymon Lawrence.
Survivors include: two sons, Charles David (Rhonda) Fryman of Wynne and Wayne Ellis of Hernando, Miss.; two daughters, Marion (Terry) Busby of Cherry Valley and Janet (William Franklin) Ellis of Hernando, Miss.; four brothers, Melvin Lawrence of New Castle, Ind., Laymon Lawrence of North Little Rock, Donald Lawrence of Paragould and Ralph Lawrence also of Paragould; six grandchildren, Cindy, Karen, Sarah, Timothy, Colton and Karisa and three great-grandchildren, David Joseph, Jacob and Jayden.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11a.m., Thursday, May 7, in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson-Wilson Wynne Funeral Home. 870-238-9400 www.thompsonwilsonfh.com
