Carol Nordmeyer, 74, of Marmaduke, passed away May 24, 2015, at the St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born June 3, 1940, to the late James Curtis Wolfenbarger and Willie Mae (Capps) Wolfenbarger McCann. She retired from serving as the manager of EZ Mart after 17 years. Carol dearly loved her church, family, town and community. She always saw the good in everyone and taught her children to always look for that in a person.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Nordmeyer; a son, Paul Nordmeyer; a brother, Jay Wolfenbarger and a sister, Louise McCann.
She is also survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Kim Nordmeyer of Rector; two daughters, Penny Boozer and Pamela Jenkins of Marmaduke; six grandchildren, Briana and Wes Bohr, Tim Boozer and Nikki, Jennifer and Dale Shultz, Tabitha Boozer, Devin Jenkins and Michael Nordmeyer; nine great-grandchildren, River Rice, Raven Rice, Aliya Shultz, Adreonna Breashers, Timmy Boozer, Andrew Shultz, Kynzie Harrelson, Lexi Flanery and Brent Cross and a sister, Anne Kennedy of Marmaduke.
Visitation will be held beginning at noon on Wednesday, May 27, at the Irby Funeral Home in Marmaduke with services set to begin at 1 p.m. Interment will be at the Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
