Nancy Dianne (Hester) Gilmore
Nancy Dianne (Hester) Gilmore, 65, of Elizabethtown, Ky., passed away Monday, May 18, 2015, of natural causes in Texas.
Mrs. Gilmore graduated from Piggott High School in 1967. She retired from civil service at Fort Knox. During her time there, she received the William H. Kushnick Award, which recognizes the most outstanding singular achievement of an Army employee in civilian personnel administration. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Golden (Pete) and Lela (Lavesta) Hester; and sisters, Winona Laverne Hester, Wilma Dean Latimer and Barbara Sue Hester.
Survivors include her husband, Eddie J. Gilmore of Elizabethtown, Ky.; a son, Eddie G. Gilmore of Lexington, Ky.; a daughter, Misty S. Young and her husband, Kenneth, of Radcliff, Ky.; her sisters, Ruby Lea Latimer of Piggott and Julia (Don) Trout of Paragould; a brother, Barry Golden (Brenda) Hester of Rogers, Ark.; three grandchildren, Dominic Young, Phoenix Gilmore and Kennedy Young and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Gilmore's funeral will be held on Friday, May 29, at the chapel of Coffey and Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove, Ky. Burial will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central, in Radcliff, Ky.
