Bernice May (Rhodes) Kelly
Bernice May (Rhodes) Kelly, 94, of Jonesboro, died June 5, 2015 at the Craighead County Nursing Center.
She was born on May 11, 1921. Mrs. Kelly was a native of Pennsylvania and lived many years at Rector where her husband, Rev. George Kelly, was Pastor of Wesleyan Evangelical Methodist Church at Hargraves Corner. She was lived in Jonesboro since 2008, where she was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Mrs. Kelly was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. George Kelly; her parents, Ralph and Edith Rhodes; her brothers, Wayne, Alfred and Kenneth Rhodes and two sisters, Esther Mullins and Laverne Zimmerman.
Survivors include her sons, Darryl (Linda) Kelly of Jonesboro and George Robert (Rhea) Kelly of Nixa, Mo.; her daughters, Connie (Ralph) Seay and Bonnie (Jerry) Beal of Jonesboro and Esther (David) Wagner of Lee's Summit, Mo.; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 8, in the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector, with Darryle Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Heights Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday and continue until service time at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and sons-in-law.
Lasting memorial may be made to: Wesleyan Evangelical Methodist Church, Rector, Ark., or a favorite charity.
