Rector School Board handles light agenda
The Rector School Board made multiple end-of-year decisions at the Monday monthly meeting.
The board approved resignations from Linda Speer from the position of elementary special education aide and Hannah Gray from the agriculture teacher position.
Jessica Tharp was hired to replace Gray as agriculture teacher for the 2015-2016 school year.
The business continuity plan was approved to have changes made, which will be reviewed and approved by the board at a later date.
Technology coordinator Kathy LeQuieu was approved for extension of her contract to 190 days to be able to be on campus more often, which superintendent Johnny Fowler agreed was necessary for her to better serve the school's technological needs.
The board also approved a $6,000 stipend to be paid to bookkeeper Sara Parmenter for her work over 190 days.
Other approvals were salary schedules for non-licensed/classified and licensed/certified teachers for the upcoming school year.
