Mohawk Alumni Football Game Set

Thursday, June 18, 2015
Over a dozen Mohawk football players are in Fayetteville this week, as they take part in the annual Arkansas Razorback camp under Coach Bret Bielema. To help remember the occasion, many of the teammates gathered for a "selfie" on the steps of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium-and the moment was captured by Coach Michael Harrell.(courtesy photo)

Former Mohawk players are now being recruited for an alumni football game, set for 7 p.m. on Friday, July 3, at Parker Field. The contest will pit the odd-number year graduates against the even-number year grads for bragging rights.

The registration for players is $50 each, and all proceeds benefit the Piggott Mohawk Football Boosters.

Registration is currently being accepted, and the deadline is 5 p.m. on July 3.

Two organized practices have also been set, although they are not mandatory for those wanting to play in the contest. The first practice will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, with the second set for 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 28. Both practice sessions will be held at Parker Field.

Former players who want more information, or to find out more about registering, may contact Coach Michael Harrell at 870 634-6645, Coach Shawn Hearn at 870 324-1426 or Coach Walter Rau at 870 634-6003. The public is invited, and encouraged to make plans to attend.
