Knobel Robbery Suspects Remain Jailed

Greg Thompson, 38, and Kethel Trotter, 40, both of Corning, have been charged with aggravated robbery, theft of property and filing a false police report in connection to the First National Bank robbery, which took place in Knobel on Monday, June 8.

Thompson was working as the teller at the First National Bank branch in Knobel at the time. According to Clay County Sheriff Terry Miller, he conspired with Trotter to rob the bank. The Sheriff's Office, along with the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division, have located $16,000 in cash, but are still searching for an undisclosed amount of missing money.

Both perpetrators were still being held on a $1,000,000 bond at the Clay County Detention Center in Piggott at last report pending their next court appearance.
