It's All-Star week in Conway, as the Arkansas State High School Coaches Association hosts their annual games. The week includes a full slate of action on the diamond, hardwood and gridiron and two local athletes are scheduled to participate.

Following a day of clinics and workshops, the action began Tuesday evening with the baseball and softball games.

Representing the Piggott Lady Mohawk volleyball program is McKenzie Hopkins, who will be dressing out for the east squad in the annual all star contest. This year's volleyball games was played beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, in the Farris Center on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas.

The Farris Center will also host the two all star basketball games, being played at 6 and 8 p.m. today, Thursday, June 25. The girls game will be played first, followed by the boy's contest. Representing the Marmaduke Greyhounds in the boy's all star basketball contest on the east squad is Eddie Page. Meanwhile, Lady Greyhound head coach Rick Smith is serving as an assistant under head coach Rusty Garner, of Harding Academy, for the east girls basketball squad.

Checking the schedule for the remainder of the week--the girls and boys soccer games were played at 5 and 7 p.m. Wednesday night at Estes Stadium and the annual football contest is set for 7 p.m. Friday, also at Estes Stadium. Tickets to all of the all star games are $6 each.
