Suspects in Weekend Shooting Ordered Held on Bond

The Arkansas State Police has taken over the investigation into the shooting of Todd Tomlinson, 43, of Pollard, which occurred early Sunday morning at a home in Pollard.

The Clay County Sheriff's Department dispatch received multiple 911 calls at 2:58 a.m. about a gunshot victim at Titanic Road and School Street. Upon arrival, deputies located Tomlinson, who had been shot in the head. He was airlifted to the Med in Memphis, and his condition is unknown at this time.

Two arrests were made late Sunday afternoon in connection to the shooting, one juvenile and Justin Collins, 18, of Piggott.

The Arkansas State Police held probable cause hearings Tuesday at the Clay County Detention Center. The juvenile's bond was set at $150,000 and Collins was charged with criminal conspiracy to commit attempted first degree murder and bond was set for $100,000.

Sherriff Terry Miller extended a special thanks to the Arkansas CID division, including Sgt. Scott Pillow, Investigator Creston Hutton, Investigator Mark Vavak and Investigator Ron Hitt, for their assistance on the case.
