Arlene Lang Poole
Arlene Lang Poole, 71, of Piggott, Ark., passed away Monday, August 3, 2015, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark.
She was born on November 25, 1943, in Pollard, Ark., and was the daughter of the late Herbert Clayton Lang and Loreties (Busby) Lang Hudspeth.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Barbara Wheeler.
Arlene was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Piggott. She began working for the City of Piggott as Administrative Assistant in August 1966, and went above and beyond her duties by ministering to people in the community during her 43 years with the city, retiring in 2009. Arlene was totally dedicated to the Lord and gave her life to helping others.
Survivors include her twin sister, Geraldene Evans and husband Jack of Piggott, Ark.; her sister, Lela Maxine Phillips of Corning, Ark.; her nieces and nephews, Amanda Poole Jackson, Vicky Bratton, Anita Bellers, Terry Phillips, Jerry Phillips, Debbie Jackson, Karen Millikan, Gary Phillips, Tracy Cole and Amy Rucker along with many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, at the First Baptist Church in Piggott with Ron Webb officiating. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, is in charge of the arrangement.
