Wilborn "Dewayne" Cole

Wilborn "Dewayne" Cole, 79, of Rector, passed from this life on Wednesday August 19, 2015, at the St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born on January 23, 1936, in Lafe, Ark., to the late Claude Calvin and Eva Lee (Hooker) Cole. Dewayne was retired from Emerson Electric of Paragould, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Gerald Cole and a grandson, Shane Avery.

Dewayne is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jean Cole; one son, Johnny (Tammy) Cole of Paragould; his daughters, Darla Johnson of Lowes, Ky., Lisa (Joel) Kelsey of Fayetteville and Michelle (Mark) Thomas of Rector; six grandchildren, Bridget Avery, Jason Avery, Katie Cole, Cole Thomas, Kara Kelsey Shae Kelsey; seven great- grandchildren, Caitlyn Avery, Breonna Avery, Kaden Avery, Austin Avery, Avery Milliken, Aubreigh Milliken and Alexis Wallace; one sister, Jean Crossno of Paragould; an uncle, Bob Cole; special caregivers, Cindy Rutherford and Tracy McNeely along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday Aug. 21, in the Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector. Funeral Services will follow at 1 p.m. with Bro. Kim Bridges officiating. Interment will be held at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
