Keith Swim, 93, of Corning, passed away September 2, 2015, at his home.
Mr. Swim was the owner-operator of Clay Ark Enterprises in Corning. He was a superintendent for Bernie, Mo. and Big Spring, Tex. school districts for 22 years, was a farmer, and worked three years at the Texas Tech University in the Federal Programs Division. He enjoyed piloting airplanes, farming, antique cars, traveling and spending time with family.
On Oct. 22, 1944, he married his wife of 70 years, Vonna (Woods) Swim, and she survives.
Other survivors include his children, Sharon Suzanne (Swim) Lane of Austin, Tex. and Keith Dwight (Brenda) Swim, Jr., of College Station, Tex.; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason) Wood, Ashley (Daniel) Brunjes, Kadee (Christopher) Boerger, Ashley (Jonathan) Dutton, Sarah (Jon) Conner and Michaela (James) McCoslin; 14 great-grandchildren and three on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Alexander Swim and Bertha Easter (Stone) Swim and his brothers, Kenneth and Samuel Swim.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5, at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Ermert Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in the Piggott Cemetery, Piggott, Ark.
