Alvie Wilson Chilcutt, 88, of Rector, Ark., passed away September 3, 2015, in Blytheville, Ark.

He was born on February 7, 1927, near Rector, and was the son of the late John Henry and Ollie Florence (Hubble) Chilcutt.

He was united marriage to Wanda Braman on June 28, 1947, and to this union two daughters were born.

Alvie farmed most of his life in the Rector area and was a longtime member of Union Home Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and he was a member of Dannelly Masonic Lodge #300 and Olive Chapter of the Eastern Star # 147.

Wanda preceded him in death on Aug. 15, 2013. He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Earl Chilcutt, Jim Chilcutt and John Chilcutt; and three sisters, Verna Faucett, Oleta Giles and Inus Faucett.

Survivors include his daughters: Vikki Mick and husband Larry of Blytheville, Ark. and Tawanna Rhodes of Sherwood, Ark; three grandchildren, Shonne Mick, Jarrod Rhodes and Tara Hussein; three great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel in Piggott, Ark., with Fred Barker officiating. Burial is in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector, Ark. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held beginning at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, and will continue until the time of the service at the funeral home.
