Ezra Lee Hobbs
Ezra Lee Hobbs, 85, of Rogers, Ark., died Friday, September 4, 2015, at Circle of Life Hospice House in Bentonville, Ark. He was born December 16, 1929, in Rector, Ark., the son of Emma and Oscar Hobbs.
He earned an Honorable Discharge after serving with the United States Army in the Korean Conflict where he was a line man in the 1st Calvary. He was injured, and for his sacrifice was awarded the Purple Heart. He was also a member of the American Legion.
Mr. Hobbs had lived in the Northwest Arkansas area for six months, after moving from Greenbrier, Ark. Prior to living in Greenbrier he had lived most of his life in Rector.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jason Hobbs; his parents; three brothers and three sisters.
Ezra is survived by two sons, Nick Hobbs and his wife Barb, of Rogers and Shayne Hobbs and his wife Jennifer, of Wooster; one step-daughter, Cheri Shelton, of Paragould; two step-sons, Randy Joiner and his wife Maxine, of Southaven, Miss. and Jerry Joiner, of Marmaduke; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
He will be laid to rest in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Rector.
