Ella May "Sis" Howard
Ella May "Sis" Howard, 83, of Marmaduke, passed from this life on Friday October 2, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on February 26, 1932, in Monette, Ark., to the late Henry and Sylvia (Herndon) Lively. She loved working outdoors, fishing, flowers and being with her family and friends. She was united in marriage to Vernon Carnation Howard on Feb. 11, 1949.
Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon "Nation" Howard; her only son, Jerry Wayne Howard; a granddaughter, Lori Ann Turner and one brother, Charles Lively.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Jones of the home; Judy Glass of the home and Debra Barton of Rector; her grandchildren, Bobby Turner (Lori) of Mounds, Martha Banks (Damon) of Rector, Darrell Rogers (Samantha) of Paragould, Kristey Taunton (Wendell) of Eclectic, Ala., Jessey Barton (Dakota) of Eclectic, Ala., Daniel Barton of Rector and April Barton; great grandchildren, Lacey Turner of Corning, Summer Turner of Mounds, Mary Banks and Jamey Banks of Rector, Karie Rogers and Alyssa Rogers of Paragould, Autumn and Chase Ware, Grace, Carlton and Preston Taunton, Caleb and Ethan Barton all of Eclectic, Ala. and one great-great granddaughter, Luxanna Conway of Corning.
Visitation was held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday Oct. 4, in the Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Monday Oct. 5, in the Irby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Royce Boling officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery in Paragould.
