Shirley Ann Mallard
Shirley Ann Mallard, 72, of Valparaiso, Ind., passed away October 4, 2015, at her home in Indiana.
She was born on June 25, 1943, in McDougal, Ark., and was the daughter of the late Homer and Lorene (Ellis) Baker.
She was united in marriage to Curtis L. Mallard on Jan. 5, 1963.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Christopher C. Mallard; grandson, Ryan Mallard and three brothers, Tommy Baker, Gary Baker and Edward Baker.
Survivors include her husband, Curtis L. Mallard of Valparaiso, Ind.; a son, Robert Joseph Mallard of Hammond, Ind.; a daughter, Rebecca Parrish of Hobart, Ind.; her grandchildren, Sarah Benich and husband Fred, Heather Mallard, Riley Mallard, Curtis Mallard, Nathan Parrish, Joshua Parrish and Jacob Parrish; one brother, Cecil Baker and wife Betty of Clarksville, Tenn.; two sisters, Gloria Croy and husband Michael of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and Rita Hodnett and husband Cecil of Winter Haven, Fla. and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Rondal Richardson officiating. Burial was New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Ark. Hoggard amd Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, was in charge of the arrangements. Visitation was held Thursday evening at the funeral home.
