John Fillmore Waggoner
John Fillmore Waggoner, 81, of Coulterville, Ill., passed away October 17, 2015, at the Coulterville Care Center in Coulterville.
He was born on December 9, 1933, in La Farge, Wis., and was the son of the late Willard F. Waggoner and Susie Stone Brazel.
He was united in marriage to Gail Jordan on July 21, 1973.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Waggoner of the home; four children, Kathy (Dave) Mincher of Florissant, Mo., Melanie (Daryl) Simington of Plainfield, Ill., Joel (Tresa) Cato of Coulterville, Ill. and Heather (Robert) Smith of St. Peters, Mo.; four grandsons; two granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons; a brother, Lloyd E. Waggoner of Mooreville, Miss.; a sister, Alberta Penberthy of Park Hills, Mo. and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Jeremy Pierce officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott. Pallbearers are Jordan Simington, Jarrod Simington, Darren Smith, Donald Garner, Roger Eason and Joel Jordan. Eafrus Jordan will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held beginning at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
