Sheriff's Department Reports Drug Arrests

Wednesday, October 28, 2015

Cory Hobbs, 37, and Melissa Terry, 35, both of Piggott, were arrested at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday.

According to a press release from the Clay County Sheriff's Office, deputies pulled their vehicle over as part of a routine traffic stop on Oakwood Drive in McDougal. A search was conducted resulting in the pair's arrest.

Both have been charged with felony possession of drug paraphernalia and felony possession of the controlled substance methamphetamine. The two were transported to the Clay County Detention Center, where they awaited a bond hearing at last report.

The CCTD reminds readers an arrest is not an indication of guilt, and all suspects remain innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
