Billie Jo (Jennings) Neeley
Billie Jo (Jennings) Neeley, 86, of Swansea, Ill. died Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill. She was born Monday, November 18, 1929, in Bozeman, Mont., to William O. and Edith (Whillock) Jennings.
Billie was a retired high school home economics teacher. She was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church, in Belleville Ill. and the Christians Mates Sunday School Class. She was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts and served as a Girl Scout leader.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William O. and Edith (Whillock) Jennings and a brother, Roy Gray Jennings.
She is survived by her husband, Ruel J. Neeley of Swansea, Ill.; her children, Janet E. (Tom Mohrstein-Marx) Neeley of Sacramento, Calif., Don H. (Rusty) Neeley of Indianapolis, Ind., Becky (Walter Mann) Jennings of San Francisco, Calif. and Ann K. (Alan) Lawton of Holly Spring, N.C. along with six grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 30, at St. Matthew United Methodist Church, Belleville, Ill. Memorial services followed at 11 a.m. at the St. Matthew United Methodist Church with Rev. James Slone and Rev. Larry Patton officiating.
A private interment will be held at a later date in the Piggott Cemetery, Piggott, Ark.
