Pre-Holiday Tournament Play at PHS

Action continued at the Pre-Holiday Tournament at Piggott High School on Thursday evening with the senior high semi-finals, and consolation semi. The contests set the games for Saturday's finals, and tonight the three junior high semis will be played.

Senior High

The Piggott Mohawks fell to top-seeded Nettleton 51-32 in the semi-finals Thursday. In the earlier game it was third seeded Westside over second seeded Brookland 42-28. This sets up the third place game between the Mohawks and the Bearcats at 4:30 Saturday afternoon. Meanwhile, the Raiders and Warriors will meet in the senior championship game around 7:30.

In the other senior high game on Thursday, Harrisburg beat Ridgefield Christian 64-49 to advance to the consolation final against Trumann. The Hornets and Wildcats will meet in the second game of the day Saturday, set to tip off around 1:30.

Junior High

In junior high play this evening, Friday, Dec. 11, Harrisburg and Ridgefield Christian will meet in the consolation semis at 5 p.m. The winner will advance to the consolation final, and will take on the junior Mohawks at noon Saturday in the first game of the day.

Nettleton and Westside will meet in one semi-final at 6:30, with Brookland and Trumann facing off in the other around 8. The losers will play in the junior high third place game, set to tip around 3 p.m. Saturday. And the winners will meet for the junior high championship around 6 p.m. in game five of the day.
