Florence Eason

Florence Eason, 80, of Piggott, Ark., passed away December 15, 2015, in Rector, Ark.

She was born on April 3, 1935, in Piggott, and was the daughter of the late William James and Lilly (Gribble) Jordan.

She was united in marriage to Donald Ray Eason on June 11, 1955, and to this union three children were born. Her husband, Donald, preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 1993. She was also united in marriage to James Logan Morris who preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 1997. Her brother-in-law, John Waggoner, and her brother, James Joel Jordan, also preceded her in death.

Florence was a longtime member of the Westside Church of Christ. She loved reading books, taking care of her flowers and watching the birds out her windows. She also loved to quilt and made a quilt for each grandchild and great-grandchild. Florence loved her family and especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, James Eason and fiancÚ Debra Pritchett of Kennett, Mo.; two daughters, Julia Jones and husband Kevin of Piggott and Jewell Clayton and husband David of Rector; seven grandchildren, Logan Eason and wife Melissa, Rory Eason and wife Melissa, Jade Jones Rundle and husband Zach, Jake Jones and wife Amanda, Marcus Keller and wife Shana, Ashley Lopez and husband Louis and Aaron Clayton and wife Breanna; 17 great-grandchildren, Alex, Adrianna, William, Kasey, Caden, Anniston, Clay, Cole, Tyson, Jillian, Addison, Ayden, Jaxon, Colton, Lane, Luke and Levi; her siblings, Alicetene "Teney" Garner and husband Don, Eafrus Jordan and wife Ann, Joeldean Jordan and wife Min, Gail Waggoner, Gary "Ronnie" Jordan and Sharon "Sherry" Eason and husband Roger and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Kevin Murray officiating and Scott Ruhmann assisting. Burial was in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Ark. Pallbearers were James Eason, Marcus Keller, Jake Jones, Logan Eason, Rory Eason and Aaron Clayton. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, was in charge of the arrangements. Visitation was held Thursday evening at the funeral home.
