Hoops Season Set to Resume for Local Teams

A full schedule of basketball is on tap for January and February, as the 2016 portion of the schedule gets underway. Both the Rector boys and girls are scheduled to be in action at the Kell Classic beginning Saturday, while the Mohawks and Greyhounds resume Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 4 and 5.

The Cougars also have regular season games set for Monday and Tuesday, as the girls will host BIC on Monday and the boys will host the Mustangs on Tuesday. The boys will also play at Walnut Ridge on Friday, Jan. 8, while the girls will remain idle until Monday, Jan. 11, as they host Marked Tree.

The Mohawk girls squad will be playing at Ridgefield Christian on Monday evening, and the boys will host Maynard on Tuesday. The boys will then host Corning on Friday, Jan. 8, while the girls remain idle until Tuesday, Jan. 12, as they visit Manila. The seventh grade and junior Mohawk boys are also slated to host Greene County Tech on Saturday, Jan. 9, with the first game set to tip at 11 a.m. at PHS.

Marmaduke's Lady Greyhounds will visit Earle on Monday, Jan. 4, while the boys will make the trip to visit the Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Lady 'Hounds will be at Riverside on Thursday, while the boys visit the Rebels next Friday evening.
