James "J.C." Clay Gibson
James "J.C." Clay Gibson, Jr., 74, of Paragould, Ark., passed away January 3, 2016, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital. Mr. Gibson was born on September 19, 1941, in Leachville, Ark., and was a farmer for over 50 years.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Hayman-Gibson; one daughter and son-in-law, Keina and Derek Jennings of Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Rita Barr and Barbara Ridgeway (Kenneth); two grandchildren, Stephanie (Xavier) McGill and Alison Jennings; four stepsons, Doug Wortham (Tammy), Randy Wortham, Tony Wortham (Loisy) and Jeff Wortham; two stepdaughters, Donna Howard and Tabitha Sweaney along with step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
Mr. Gibson was preceded in death by his first wife, June Gibson; one son, James "Jayme" Clay Gibson, III; his parents, James "Clay" Gibson Sr. and Beatrice Routon and one sister, Gale Kluge.
Visitation will be held beginning at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7, at the Marmaduke First Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. on Thursday, at the Marmaduke First Baptist Church with Bro. Kim Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in the Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Wortham Funeral Home of Hardy was charged with the arrangements.
