William "Bill" Charles Duty, 80, died Thursday, December 31, 2015, in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

He was born June 21, 1935, in Piggott, Ark., the son of William and Ida Mae (Stewart) Duty. He and Wanda (Daugherty) Duty were married May 3, 1957, in Commerce, Tex.

Bill was an Air Force retired Master Sergeant of 26 years.

He is survived by a son, Charles (Sharon) Duty of Union, Ky.; two brothers, Jim Duty and Ray Duty, both of Piggott and his grandchildren, Samantha and William Duty.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda, in 2013; a daughter, Jacquelyn, in 1959; a brother, Edward, and a sister, Kay.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 4, at Ford and Son's Mount Auburn Funeral Home, in Cape Girardeau. Funeral services followed at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial was conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield.
