Billy Don Caldwell, 79, of Rector, passed from this life to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday January 6, 2016, at the St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born on January 24, 1936, to the late Tollie R. and Lillie Mae (Hall) Caldwell in Greenway, Ark.

Don loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Union Home General Baptist Church where he served as song leader for many years. Don was a member of the Masonic Lodge and loved his dogs and other animals.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert Caldwell, Rex Caldwell and Walter Craine along with two sisters, Betty Abernathy and Laverne Doering.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Patsy Ann (Holmes) Caldwell of Rector; one son, Randy Caldwell and wife Paula of Kennett, Mo.; two daughters, Lisa Wayne of Paragould and Kelly Miller and husband Bruce of Hornersville, Mo.; grandchildren, Sarah Yarbrough, Kelsey Wayne, Ben Caldwell, Will Caldwell, Daylee Autry, Justin Miller and LeaAnn Burbank; great-grandchildren, Elise Yarbrough, Drew Yarbrough, Lexie Christiansen and Kenslee Autry along with a host of other relatives and special friends.

Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday Jan. 9, in the Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. on Saturday with Bro. Kenny Burns officiating. Burial will be in the Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway.
