Mark Alan Gibson, 52, of Kennett, Mo., son of Larry Gibson and Letha Banther, was born July 25, 1963, in Kennett, and departed this life on January 8, 2016, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Mark was married to Theresa Talley on June 1, 2007, in Piggott.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Gibson of Kennett; his father, Larry Gibson and wife Jane of Kennett; his mother, Leta Banther and husband Jim of Forsyth, Mo.; three sons, Luke Gibson of Kennett, Hector Talley and wife Jesnic, of McClelland, Tex. and Nathan Talley and wife Toya of Kennett; two daughters, Brandy Buckler and husband Pete of Springfield, Mo. and Harley Talley of Kennett; eight grandchildren, Lena, Ames, Rex, Gracee, Jace, Bentley, Jackson and Amerie; two brothers, Josh Gibson of Kennett and Brandon Gibson of St. Louis; two sisters, Lisa Pitts of Poplar Bluff and Christina Brown and husband Andre of Poplar Bluff; his step-sisters, Michelle McMullan and husband Johnny of Kennett, Amy Mitchell and husband Kyle of Birmingham, Ala. and Mandy Oberton of Boston, Mass. and his step-brothers, Flint Banther and Casey Banther.

Visitation was held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 10, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 11, in the McDaniel Chapel with Rev. Johnny Bogle officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Honored to serve as pallbearers were Todd Thompson, Hector Talley, Danny Patterson, Neal Bergman, Jonathan Duke and Benny Hogan. Honorary pallbearers were Chris Smith, Marty Cato, Danny Williams, Allen Williams, Perry Wayne, Bob Privett, Timmy Swain, Nathan Talley and Danny Ford.
