Jewel Gotthardt, 91, of Piggott, Ark., passed away January 13, 2015, at Rector Nursing and Rehab in Rector, Arkansas.
She was born on July 12, 1924, in Grandin, Mo., and was the daughter of the late Ben and Lily Parrish.
She was a longtime member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Pollard, Ark. She loved her Sunday School class and meeting for get-togethers. She also loved being with her family and visiting friends at the nursing home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; daughter, Shirley; son, Wayne; two sons-in-law, Gene Bullinger and Ray Robinson; two grandsons, Gary Wayne Bullinger and Kevin Ray Robinson; two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by three daughters, Pauline Bullinger of Rector, Earline Robinson of Rector, and Betty Gross and husband Tom of Pollard; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 15, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Bro. Loy Culver officiating. Burial is in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector. Pallbearers are Richie Culver, Anthony Bullinger, Ricky Bullinger, Stephen Scott, James Hemphill and Glen Pratt. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at the funeral home.
