Raymond Lonnie Harmon
Raymond Lonnie Harmon, 89, of Piggott, Ark., passed away January 28, 2016, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott.
He was born on January 25, 1927, near Nimmons, Ark., and was the son of the late Raymond and Alma (Sisk) Harmon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Alma Harmon; his first wife, Edna Miller Harmon; his second wife, Norma Ridgeway Settlemoir Harmon; two granddaughters, Tammy Barker and Katelyn Leonowicz; two grandsons, Daniel Harmon and Ryan Settlemoir and brother, Winifred Mack Harmon.
Survivors include his two sons, Raymond Harmon and wife Karen of Evening Shade, Ark., and Teddy Harmon and wife Barbara of Pollard, Ark.; two daughters, Jan Lovett and husband Wayne of Troy, Mo., and Carolyn Barker and husband Freddy of Rector, Ark.; two stepsons, Tim Settlemoir and wife Donna of Hazel Park, Mich. and Jon Settlemoir and wife Janice of Summerville, S.C.; three stepdaughters, Laura Williams and husband Danny of Hazel Park, Mich., Eunice Vincent of Capac, Mich. and Joanna Besserman and husband Randy of Piggott; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; a brother, James Earl "Jim" Harmon of Rector, Ark.; a sister-in-law, Cora Ann Harmon of Piggott and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Danny Self and Jon Settlemoir officiating. Burial was in Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Ark. Pallbearers were Steve Dover, Dennis Harmon, Earl Harmon, Mike Lovett and Chris Hazel. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, was in charge of the arrangements. Visitation was held Friday evening at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, family request memorials be made to Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Piggott, Ark.
