The Lady Mohawk softball squad dropped a game to Highland Tuesday afternoon at Independence Park. The team was looking to rebound from a season-opening 4-3 loss at Walnut Ridge last week.

Weather permitting the Lady Mohawks are schedule to host Hoxie in their conference opener this Thursday, and will be playing in the Lady Ram play day at Paragould this Saturday, March 12. The JV squad is schedule to play at 11:30 a.m. while the varsity team will play at 4.

Next Monday, March 14, they're slated to host the Manila Lady Lions in conference play, and that weekend they'll compete in the Brookland Bearcat Blast tournament. Their first game is set for 4:30 on Friday, March 18, as they take on Trumann. With a win they'll advance to play Tuckerman at 7:30 that evening and a loss would send them into the consolation bracket, and a 10 a.m. game against the loser of the Gosnell-Salem game. Other teams in the Red Division bracket include Harrisburg, Manila, Westside, Marked Tree, BIC, Armorel, Metro-East Lutheran and Rivercrest.

Games will be played throughout the day Saturday, with the consolation championship at 4 p.m. and the championship game at 5:30.
