This week's state basketball finals, being held at the Hot Springs Convention Center, are now set. And, thanks to a couple of strong performances at Marmaduke last week, both Earle Bulldog teams will compete for titles on Thursday. The boy's team will be taking on conference foe EPC, as the title is guaranteed to belong to the 2A-3 this year, while the potent girls team takes on Hector.

The Bulldogs and Warriors advanced out of the boy's bracket at MHS last week by eliminating Marked Tree and Junction City. They're slated to tip-off at 3:30 Thursday, following the 2 p.m. Special Olympics Project Unify game between Bryant at Conway. The Lady Bulldogs will meet Hector shortly after the boy's game, around 5:15, followed by the 4A boys final between Baptist Prep and Malvern and the 6A girls final between Russellville and the Lady Hurricanes of Jonesboro.

The schedule for Friday begins at 2 p.m. with the Special Olympics Project Unify game between Russellville and Lincoln. It will be followed by the 4A girls final between Riverview and Central Arkansas Christian, the 1A boys final between Emerson and the Bay Yellowjackets, the 1A girls final between Kirby and Nemo Vista and the 7A boys final between Bentonville and Cabot.

Saturday's first game will tip at 11 a.m. as Pine Bluff and Little Rock Parkview meet in the boy's 6A final. Up next will be the 3A girl's championship, as Greenland takes on Valley Springs. Around 2:30 the 3A boy's final will be played, between the Charleston Tigers and Cedar Ridge Timberwolves. The 5A girl's final will follow, as Greene County Tech takes on Watson's Chapel. Afterward, the 5A boy's final will be played between Maumelle and Forrest City. And, in the nightcap the 7A girl's title will be decided between Conway and North Little Rock.
