Conrad C. Black, Jr.
Conrad C. Black, Jr., of Piggott, Ark., was born November 26, 1937, and died March 10, 2016. He was a dedicated Retired Foreign Wars Veteran of 26 years as a Chemical Engineer, and a First Sergeant in the United States Army.
Conrad was a beloved husband, father, friend and leader in any community he served.
He was the eldest child of the late Conrad Black, Sr., and Josephine Byroad.
He was also preceded in death by his sister and brothers, Donna Sue Matthews, Dan Black, Jr. and John Grooms, Jr.
He is survived by his spouse, Betty Francis Black; his siblings, Francis Lucas, Miller Wampler, Jr., Ginni Di Raddo and Cheri Cerghizan; his children, Connie Black (Rachael Michaels), Susan Lois Reott and Conrad Black, III; his grandchildren, David, Christina, Joseph, Roy and Sirius and four great-grandchildren.
Conrad was a member of the Northeast Arkansas Rod and Gun Club, American Legion Post #38 and VFW Post #4517, all of Piggott, Ark.
Final respects will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 18, in the Hoggard and Son's Funeral Home Chapel, 142 North Third Avenue, Piggott. Visitation will be held beginning at 11 a.m., and continue until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
