Early Entry Deadline Approaches for Local Car Show

Thursday, April 7, 2016

The deadline is rapidly approaching for early entries to the 2016 Piggott Heritage Car Show, set for May 20, 21 and 22. Registration prior to next Friday, April 15, is $25 a vehicle while those registered after the early date will pay $35. Additional entries by the same owner are just $5 each, and are entered in the judging and cruise only. Organizers also offer a Saturday-only rate of $20, which entitles the entrant to all the judging, cruise and festivities on Saturday with the exception of the evening meal.

Car show organizers are also still selling chances on a 1961 Murray Tee-Bird pedal, being raffled-off as a fundraiser. Tickets are $1 each, or six for $5, and are available at Blue Sky Storehouse and Jones Furniture, where the car is currently on display. This year's t-shirts also remain on sale for $10 each, and are available at Piggott Diner and the Blue Sky Storehouse.

Among the awards to be handed out are best of show, people's choice, lady's choice, top 50 cars and trucks, top 10 motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs and antique tractors. This year many of the top winners will receive a custom award, fashioned by SOS Customs of Piggott.

Checks should be made payable to the Piggott Heritage Car Show, and entries may be mailed to 193 West Main Street, Piggott, Ark., 72454. Additional information may be obtained by calling Tony Pace at 870 598-2168 or Joe Cole at 901 246-7647.
