Graduation Set for Rector High School
The 36 Rector High School graduates of 2016 will embark on the next chapter of their lives as they receive their diplomas at 2 p.m. Sunday at the RHS gymnasium.
The RHS concert band will play the processional as graduating students enter the gym in front of their friends, family members and fellow students.
The invocation will be given by Ty Haney.
Valedictorian Victoria Hill and salutatorian Brian Hufty will then give their respective addresses, and high school principal Wade Williams will follow by presenting awards. Rector School Board president Jody Simmons will present seniors with their diplomas.
Graduates will sing their class song, "Whenever You Remember," and then lead the audience in the RHS alma mater. Benediction will be given by Kade Scott, preceding the recessional by the RHS band.
Honor students are Shaylynn Eubanks, Victoria Hill, Brian Hufty, Colby Lynch, Lawson Ford and Kade Scott.
Students who are members of the National Honor Society include Denver Book, Lawson Ford, Victoria Hill, Brian Hufty, Emily Huggins, Colby Lynch and Kade Scott.
Students who have completed programs in Agriculture, Family and Consumer Science or Business/Technology are Ashley Akin, Denver Book, Garrett Buck, Lydia Bucy, Madison Chandler, Kaitlynn Chapin, Austin Clairday, Shaylynn Eubanks, Lawson Ford, Daniel Hager, Jason Haney, Pauletta Harris, Jamie Hatfield, Huston Highfill, Victoria Hill, Brian Hufty, Emily Huggins, Michael Jackson, Triston Lamar, Colby Lynch, Meagan March, Trevor McDaniel, Thomas Myres, Cheyenne Patterson, Austin Raspberry, Torrie Rodriguez, Kade Scott, Sarah Shaw, Jacob Stump, Madison Weatherspoon, Hunter West and Samuel Westbrook.
Other members of the class are Kathryn Anderson, Hunter Arnold, Devon Dotson and Hannah Huggins.
Ushers for the ceremony will be Avery Bucy, Matison Dean, Easton Tracy and Dalton Murray.
