Louise Belton Jackson, 98, formerly of Piggott, passed away Saturday
evening, June 4, at home with family in Pacific, Missouri.
Louise was born in Tomato, Ark. on August 8, 1917, to James Belton and Mamie
(Fowler) Belton. She was united in marriage to Ulyss Jackson on December
18, 1938 in Clay County, Ark., and he preceded her in death on July 2, 1992.
Louise is also preceded in death by her daughter Essie (Jackson) Remmert,
three sons-in-law, and her brothers and sister.
Surviving Louise are her daughters Darlene Coleman and husband Ed of
Pacific, Missouri; Jean Miller of Villa Ridge, Missouri; Wilma Barnes of Lisbon, Iowa,
Brenda Palmer and husband Bob of Villa Ridge, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren
and several great and great-great grandchildren.
Louise raised her daughters in Eureka, Missouri, retired back to Arkansas, then
lived in Pacific since 2013. Louise played basketball as a girl. She
enjoyed singing at church, gardening, tending to the roses, and spending
time with her girls and at the Piggott Senior Center. Later Louise was a
faithful Cardinals fan and enjoyed watching baseball with her family and

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 9 in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel in
Piggott. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery.
